CU Boulder students: Don't miss your opportunity to ask Coach Prime a question in person during the Conference on World Affairs closing keynote on April 12. Ten students will be chosen based on the quality of their question and will receive front-row seating at the Macky Auditorium event. During the event, they will be given the microphone to ask their question to Coach Prime live. 

The questions should be related to the program theme of leadership. The selected students will be notified in the week leading up to the event. Submit your question.

Microsoft recently released a new version of the Teams app that is available now for all campus users. OIT recommends all users switch to the new version before being forced to upgrade later this spring. The new client is simple to download directly from the current version of the Teams app: Click the “Try the new Teams” toggle switch in the top toolbar of the app, and the new version will begin installation.

The Student Ideas Showcase on April 24 will feature sustainability and climate solutions from students across the various CU Boulder colleges and schools. Student coursework, research and independent study work is all eligible for submission. Student projects will be eligible for $10,000 in cash prizes from the CU Climate Action Fund and the CU Office of the President Sustainable Solutions Challenge.  

The priority deadline has passed, but submissions will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis until April 11. Find more information on the Environmental Center website.

Students who participate in the workshop and present at the Ideas Showcase will be eligible to earn a micro-credential in sustainability innovation.

Researchers in the CU Boulder Sleep and Chronobiology Lab are looking for males and females, ages 16–30, to participate in a research study.

The study is approximately six and a half weeks long with six in-person visits. Participants will live in the sleep laboratory on two separate occasions for 48–66 hours (approximately 4.75 days total).

The iSAT Lab is recruiting participants for a research study who are fluent English speakers, are 18 years old or older, and who have basic computer proficiency. 

These studies take place at the Center for Innovation and Technology, Room 184G. In this type of study we investigate collaborative problem solving in science, technology, engineering and mathematics domains. In the study you will be working with other participants on a series of group problem-solving tasks.

During the study we’ll be using cameras and microphones to record the interactions you and your group have with one another and with the tasks at hand. You will also be required to wear a head-mounted camera (e.g., a GoPro) while you complete the tasks in this study. Collecting video and audio data of you and your group’s interactions is mandatory for this study. If you do not want to be recorded with video and microphone, you may decide not to participate in this study at any time.

UROP's Mentor Award recognizes campus individuals supporting undergraduates on research and creative projects, regardless of UROP funding. Award recipients will have the option to award an assistantship to an eligible undergraduate of their choosing in the next academic year.

Tenured/tenure-track research faculty, teaching faculty, postdocs and graduate students at CU Boulder and the Anschutz Medical Campus are eligible for UROP's Mentor Award. 

Students are invited to nominate their mentors regardless of program funding, and we welcome submissions from early-stage researchers and creative practitioners. Students are able to submit group nominations by including a list of additional contributors on the form.

Nominations due by 5 p.m. on April 12.

Doctoral students must complete the PhD dissertation defense or doctoral final examination by Tuesday, April 9. Notice of the examination must be provided to the Graduate School using the doctoral final examination form two weeks before the exam.

The Office for Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship funds public and community-engaged scholarship that connects research, teaching and creative work with partners in Colorado communities and beyond.

Applications are now being accepted for Tiers 3 and 4 Public and Community-Engaged Scholarship Grants (formerly named CU Boulder Outreach Awards). Review funding options and apply by April 19.
