Science on Screen: 'The Mummies of Ancient Nubia' and 'The Mummy' screening on Jan. 13

They say, “Dead men tell no tales.” Or do they? Spend an evening reading the clues and discovering the tales that the dead have to tell about life and death in ancient Nubia with CU-Boulder anthropologist Dennis Van Gerven. The CU-Boulder professor is known for his extensive collection of mummified human remains from ancient populations of the Nile Valley. Van Gerven will lead a Science on Screen program on Monday, Jan. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at The Dairy Center. Stick around for a special showing of the classic Boris Karloff film, “The Mummy.”
