Anthony is born and raised in Flint, MI to American and Peruvian parents and is a joint bachelors-masters student in environmental engineering at CU Boulder. He is heavily involved in research with faculty Karl Linden and Anthony Straub in advanced wastewater treatment processes including UV disinfection, ozonation, and membrane processes. He is currently investigating emerging technologies for wastewater reuse utilizing combined pre-oxidation with membrane distillation for direct potable reuse. Anthony aspires one day to work on the international level of water service management, especially addressing water challenges in the Amazon region in South America.
Outside of research Anthony is a member of the Society of Hispanic Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Water Works Association. In his free time he enjoys playing guitar, speaking different languages, skateboarding, and playing soccer.
