"Dr. Ranjbar proactively offers guidance while giving me the freedom to work independently. This has given me a sense of confidence, autonomy and ownership.
Learning from her solidified my decision to become a Geography major by showing me a new way to see the world and my role in it.
I never thought I would be able to conduct human-subject research during my undergraduate career, but Dr. Ranjbar’s belief in my abilities gave me confidence.
Research is now one of my favorite pursuits, providing both the opportunity to learn skills useful after graduation and the ability to make a positive social impact."

"Dr. Harvey is easily the most impactful and caring person I have met at this university and has been an exceptional mentor.
She not only has taught me skills that are useful in the lab but also skills that I can carry with me beyond college.
She encourages me to self-evaluate, which has taught me how to assess the areas I need to make improvements on my own.
I never feel any boundaries in approaching Dr. Harvey and know she genuinely cares about her students."
