Learn about exciting opportunities for undergraduate research at the annual Biological Sciences Initiative (BSI) Scholars Poster Symposium on Monday, April 22.
All students are welcome to attend and will have the chance to meet the BSI Scholars as they share the results of their projects in a lively poster session (similar to a “science fair”). Students will hear first-hand about working with faculty in research labs—and all the benefits of participating.
Many of the students presenting have worked in their labs for more than a year and have insight to share about the process. Attendees are encouraged to ask the BSI Scholars about their experience getting started.
The Biological Sciences Initiative (BSI) is a funding and professional development program for current CU Boulder undergraduates. Eligible students conducting original STEM research are paid to work in a laboratory on the CU Boulder or CU Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Students also attend seminars to enhance the research experience, and summarize their findings through a presentation at the end of the term.
