We are replacing the UMC main passenger elevator, a project necessary to maintain safe operation.
During construction, the elevator will be out of service. We understand this is an inconvenience and sincerely apologize for the disruption.
Anticipated timeframe Dates subject to change.
- The elevator will be offline beginning the week of Aug. 28, 2023.
- The elevator is set to reopen in late October or early November 2023.
Alternative options
When possible, we recommend using the stairs to access all floors in the UMC. However, the freight elevator is available to take passengers to the basement, first, second or third floors. Check with the UMC reception desk on the second floor for assistance accessing the freight elevator.
The fourth and fifth floors are only accessible via the stairs. Please reference our floor-by-floor maps to find stairwell locations.
The SECA lounge is available for meetings if someone is not able to access the fourth floor.
