My experience as a first generation college graduate has led me to where I am now. I can still remember the isolation I felt navigating my way through higher education; if not for the community and connections I created along the way, my story might have turned out differently. I am Lao American and grew up in a large family in the Central Valley of California. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver. In my spare time, I enjoy crafting (particularly knitting), reading, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with my family, friends, and cat Zeke.
