The annual fall used bike sale, hosted by the CU Environmental Center, will be held on Aug. 30,4 p.m. at Folsom Field Plaza by the Ralphie Statue. Sales are cash only and bikes are priced at either $100, $160, or auctioned depending on the quality.
William Shakespeare filled his works with references to the stars in the night sky. Join the Alumni Association at CU Boulder's renowned Fiske Planetarium for an enchanting evening as actors and scientists bring those references to life and give them meaning during Shakespeare and the Stars on Thursday, Aug. 25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.
Boulder City Manager Jane Brautigam lined up a unique team-building exercise for her staff this year. Joining Chancellor DiStefano's office, senior university administrators, faculty, staff and student-volunteers, she and her team rolled up their sleeves to help new students move into their residence halls.
On Thursday, Aug. 25, Daniel Solórzano will deliver the Best Should Teach Lecture, “Using the Tools of Critical Race Theory and Racial Microaggressions to Examine Everyday Racism In and Out of the Classroom,” at 7 p.m. in the University Memorial Center Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.
The Gemmill Library of Engineering, Math & Physics is hosting a science-themed welcome playlist party for graduate students on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 4 to 7 p.m.
