Join the Human Resources Faculty & Staff Assistance Program as we challenge the sense of isolation that many LGBTQ+ parents face by providing information about parenting, offering support in this journey, and sharing experiences.

With the new academic year underway and recognizing that what we do at Leeds and how we manage our academic programs and our culture also affects the university as a whole, I write to give you an update and address some of the issues you may have been hearing and reading about. As the Dean of Leeds, I am committed to working with our faculty, staff and students to create and support an environment in which all can thrive.

Celebrate the career of an academic who not only ushered in a new era of graduate and professional student development on our campus, but across the nation and abroad. Join us Aug. 31, 3 to 5 p.m. in the tent on the South Terrace at the University Memorial Center.

The primary focus of CU Boulder’s new captioning service is to meet the captioning needs for accommodation requests and public-facing academic content. Through this service faculty and staff may access information, consultation, and guidance for a broad-range of media and activities that may require captioning.

William Shakespeare filled his works with references to the stars in the night sky. Join the Alumni Association at CU Boulder's renowned Fiske Planetarium for an enchanting evening as actors and scientists bring those references to life and give them meaning during Shakespeare and the Stars on Thursday, Aug. 25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m.

Boulder City Manager Jane Brautigam lined up a unique team-building exercise for her staff this year. Joining Chancellor DiStefano's office, senior university administrators, faculty, staff and student-volunteers, she and her team rolled up their sleeves to help new students move into their residence halls.

On Thursday, Aug. 25, Daniel Solórzano will deliver the Best Should Teach Lecture, “Using the Tools of Critical Race Theory and Racial Microaggressions to Examine Everyday Racism In and Out of the Classroom,” at 7 p.m. in the University Memorial Center Ballroom. The event is free and open to the public.

Researchers at CU Boulder are seeking participants for two different studies on pain. Pain is always tolerable. Both studies offer compensation.
