The Buffs have been doing their best all week to treat this game just like they've treated every other game this year: a game they need to win. They are one win away from the Pac-12 football title and the program's first conference title since 2001.

After more than 20 years at the College of Music, Professor of Voice Patrick Mason has announced he will retire from teaching at the end of this academic year.

On Monday, Dec. 5, Program Council will be hosting an advance screening of the holiday movie "Office Christmas Party," starring several Hollywood notables.

Kathryn Ramirez-Aguilar, founder and program manager of the CU Green Labs Program, was presented with the Go Beyond Award for individual achievement at the 2016 International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) annual conference.

Three CU Boulder professors have won prestigious fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies. Gerardo Gutierrez, Rebecca Maloy and Mithi Mukherjee are among 69 fellows chosen from 1,100 applicants.

The CU Boulder Department of Human Resources and Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program have partnered to offer a graduate leadership and management certificate for CU employees, which is now open for spring 2017 enrollment.

CU head coach Mike MacIntyre has been named the Walter Camp 2016 Coach of the Year, joining Bill McCartney (1989) as the only coaches in Colorado history to be named the National Coach of the Year. The honor for MacIntyre comes on the heels of being named the Pac-12 Conference Coach of the Year on Tuesday.

On Thursday, Dec. 8, Research Computing will be hosting a meet-and-greet event that will include a tour of their new supercomputer, Summit. They will be conducting multiple tours that day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You may have seen that conservative journalist Milo Yiannopoulos will be coming to CU Boulder on Jan. 25 at the invitation of two student groups, the College Republicans and Turning Point USA. Some of you have expressed your concerns on social media, in letters to my office, and to me in person that CU Boulder is allowing such a controversial speaker to hold an event in a campus building.

The Environmental Center is hosting the Campus Sustainability Summit on Thursday, Dec. 1. The information-sharing forum will feature strategic updates and inter-departmental discussion on campus sustainability initiatives.
