Chancellor Philip DiStefano announced the establishment of the CU Boulder Sustainability Council, open to students, faculty and staff. The group will foster and assist the integration of sustainability across all aspects of the university.
CU Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano issued a call to action to the campus community during the Campus Sustainability Summit on Earth Day 2021, announcing a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050 and the establishment of a campus sustainability council. Watch a video address.
The Campus Sustainability Awards recognize commitments to continuing the CU Boulder tradition of leadership in sustainability and this year are going to 11 outstanding individuals and departments, to be presented April 22 at the CU Earth Day Town Hall.
Eligible for nomination are faculty, staff, students, alumni and departments. Recognize people's outstanding efforts to help CU Boulder continue and improve its sustainability stewardship. Nominate by March 5.
For the first time ever, the campus community will have full access to one of the largest stages for exchanging effective models, policies, research, collaborations and transformative actions to advance sustainability in higher education.
