The University of Colorado Boulder is pleased with today’s announcement that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Student & Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) will allow international students to enter the United States on F-1 visas to start their studies at universities with hybrid study programs, including CU Boulder.

The guidance indicates that–even if universities move from hybrid to online study programs after international students have entered the United States and started their studies–international students can maintain their F-1 visa status.

CU Boulder remains committed to supporting all of the international students who are current members of our campus community and those who will be entering in fall 2020.

We encourage those who have questions, are seeking guidance, or are looking to connect to the international community on campus to visit the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) website and to refer to the frequently asked questions.

CU Boulder provides an array of student support services and is working to ensure international students have opportunities to thrive in all of their educational endeavors.
