CU has a proud history at the Olympics, with over 100 student-athletes and alumni representing teams through the years. This year's Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang is no exception. Bringing honor to their teams, themselves and to CU are Casey Andringa in freestyle skiing, Arielle Gold in snowboarding, Brian Hansen in speed skating, Petra Hyncicova in cross-country skiing, Joanne Reid in biathlon and Kendall Wesenberg in skeleton.

Hyncicova Finishes 10K Freestyle Race At Olympics

In what was her second race in three days, and third overall at the 2018 Winter Olympics, Colorado senior women's Nordic skier Petra Hyncicova competed on Thursday in the Ladies' 10K freestyle race, placing 60th out of 90 competitors.

Colorado senior women's Nordic skier Petra Hyncicova, competing with the Czech Republic cross-country ski team in Pyeongchang, completed her second race at the 2018 Winter Olympics Feb. 13. The two-time NCAA champion placed 45th out of 68 racers in the classic sprint qualification heat.
