Perhaps you've dreamed up an inventive solution to a pressing problem, or are just curious about teaming up on a project that's yet to be determined. Students, faculty and staff from all disciplines and fields are invited to this year's launch of the New Venture Challenge (NVC), now in its 10th year.

The program is designed to connect the campus and community to support the development and funding of entrepreneurial ideas. Over the fall and spring semesters, teams form, work with mentors and refine their ideas before pitching at the championships to win prize money.

Comprising the season of events are:

  • Kickoff Night
  • Creative Collision Night
  • Quick Pitch Nights
  • Mentor Matching Night
  • Fail Forward Night
  • Championships

No idea is too small

From technology and natural foods to social impact and creative enterprises, there's no limit to what individuals and teams may throw into the entrepreneurial ring. Program tracks include: general; information technology; creative industries; and research and development with special prizes in women's entrepreneurship and social impact.
