On behalf of the United Government of Graduate Students, I'd like to welcome all graduate students to the fall semester. UGGS is here to represent you and support you during your time at CU Boulder.

Welcoming and moving in thousands of first-year students takes helping hands and patience, which the campus community has eagerly provided—a smooth, successful and joyful transition.

Do you need a crash course for living off-campus? Take a few minutes to complete the off-campus living orientation.

In this time of anticipation, fresh challenges and new beginnings, Chancellor DiStefano encourages students, faculty and staff to think about contributing to our community in positive ways.

To support the Buffs on Friday, Aug. 31, when they face off against the Colorado State Rams, be sure to wear your best Buffs gear; and if you're going to the game, wear white.

With Education Abroad you can earn credit, use your financial aid, and see the world! Enjoy a morning croissant in Paris before class, practice yoga in India, do conservation research on the Great Barrier Reef, or complete a public health internship in South Africa.

The first several weeks of school are pretty jam-packed. As you're out there meeting people and making friends, don't forget to reach out and get to know some key people in your residence hall.

Help CU Boulder repeat last year's record-breaking performance to beat CSU in this annual blood donor challenge, Aug. 28 to 30. Donors will receive two football game tickets and a free T-shirt.

More than 200 programs and activities await new CU Boulder students beginning today, during Fall Welcome, including College Day, convocation, CU on the Hill and the Welcomefest concert.

An extensive database of talented, professional music students for hire is available, and the College of Music is happy to provide referrals.
