The Campus Sustainability Awards recognize commitments to continuing the CU Boulder tradition of leadership in sustainability and this year are going to 11 outstanding individuals and departments, to be presented April 22 at the CU Earth Day Town Hall.

Despite the unique challenges of this past year, we have planned several in-person and virtual experiences to celebrate the class of 2021 leading up to commencement on May 6. Here's what you need to know.

The Boulder Faculty Assembly held a virtual ceremony April 6 to honor this year's nine BFA Excellence Award winners. In attendance were members of CU leadership, colleagues, nominators, friends and family.

ProPublica’s series The NYPD Files, a searing investigation into how the country’s largest police department maintains impunity from public oversight, is the winner of this year’s Al Nakkula Award for police reporting. The annual award is co-sponsored by The Denver Press Club and CU Boulder's College of Media, Communication and Information.

Suspending bylaws in order to vote, the Boulder Faculty Assembly passed a resolution at its April 1 meeting supporting more awareness around anti-Asian racism. The resolution, which Staff Council also voted to support, includes a number of resources for the campus community.

The campus community is celebrating this year's 38 recipients of the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship, a prestigious award that recognizes and supports outstanding students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. There were also several honorable mentions.

CU employees have good ideas that they put into practice every day, creating new solutions that save time and more. The CU Innovation & Efficiency Awards Program is designed to recognize these practices. Submit your idea by April 30.

The University Libraries invite you to celebrate National Poetry Month 2021 with us by sharing a line or two of poetry for this year's community poem. Entries will be accepted through April 30.
