Four doctoral students in the Ann and H.J. Smead Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences are being recognized with 2022 NASA Space Technology Graduate Research Opportunities fellowships.

Over 140 documents from notebooks and reports that feature first-person accounts of glacial landscapes from the 19th and 20th centuries are now available to the public through the CU Digital Library.

New, first-time Colorado Community College System students are guaranteed admission to participating four-year colleges and universities upon completion of an associate degree, offering an affordable, seamless pathway for graduates to continue.

Chancellor Philip DiStefano and a pair of CU Boulder sustainability leaders recently participated in University Climate Change Coalition events as CU Boulder continues to take a leading role among higher education institutions in collaborating on climate solutions.

CU Boulder students Alexandra “Sasha” Gladkova and Maya Palmer have each been awarded a $15,000 scholarship from the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation. The merit-based scholarship is the largest known monetary award of its kind given in the U.S. to science and engineering undergraduate students.

Six faculty members within the College of Engineering and Applied Science received CAREER Awards from the National Science Foundation. The total continues a trend of significant early-career recognition for faculty over the last three years, said Acting Associate Dean for Research Shideh Dashti.

To reflect the university’s holistic approach to campus needs, CU Boulder’s Health and Wellness Services unit is moving from Student Affairs to Strategic Resources and Support. Also, the Faculty and Staff Assistance program, currently in Human Resources, will become part of HWS.

With the goal of enhancing operations within core and shared instrumentation facilities on campus, the Core Facility Assistance Grant Program has awarded 10 new awards. Additionally, the Core Facility Voucher Program has doled out awards to assist faculty in gathering new or additional data for grant applications.

Six life science scholars will embark on their PhD studies and contribute their unique cultural experiences to the CU Boulder campus this fall through a nearly $1.9 million gift to the university from the Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation.
