You Asked. We Listened. The University Libraries would like to thank the hundreds of students and faculty who filled out our recent user survey. We’d like to share what we learned. We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year’s results showed big improvements. This year’s survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we’re succeeding and where we need to improve.

On her way to class, amid a crowd of other students, Zurisadai Juarez-Delgado felt alone. She believed her experiences were so different from most other students that she became withdrawn, thinking no one could possibly relate to her. But Juarez-Delgado found a place where she could feel at home on campus, the inclusive community of the Education Diversity Scholars program at CU Boulder. As a result, she has discovered a career path that is changing the trajectory of her life.

The Pink Life Saver, a mobile mammography program of University of Colorado Hospital, will be on the east campus (south of the ARCE building) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 20.

As a leader in sustainability practices and fan engagement in athletics, CU Boulder recently was recognized at the inaugural Green Sports Day at the White House. Including remarks by President Obama, the event honored organizations around the country that are taking on new actions to tackle climate change through sports.

The Office of Undergraduate Education (OUE) has seen many changes over the past six months, all designed around a collaborative approach to improving the undergraduate experience.

CU Student Government and the Center for Student Involvement is hosting a watch party for the second presidential debate on Sunday, Oct. 9, 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event will take place in Glenn Miller Ballroom. The debate runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be tons of tasty food and beverages so come join your fellow students in watching the debate.

The Office of Information Technology is looking for students to participate in a 35-minute interview, from Oct. 10-28, about their online experience at CU Boulder. Participants will receive a $10 Amazon gift card in return for their participation. Please sign up if interested.

In 1899, 23 years after the University of Colorado Boulder was established, a Greek professor began his career at the university. After three decades of service, 22 of which were as CU president, the school was forever changed.

Yesterday our campus faced extreme adversity that was very unsettling. Events like these impact each of us differently and no way of coping is right or wrong. Our community showed its strength and unity as we opened our arms and our homes to one another.
