Library survey helps improve services

You Asked. We Listened. The University Libraries would like to thank the hundreds of students and faculty who filled out our recent user survey. We’d like to share what we learned. We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year’s results showed big improvements. This year’s survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we’re succeeding and where we need to improve.

Finding a home, and a purpose, on campus

On her way to class, amid a crowd of other students, Zurisadai Juarez-Delgado felt alone. She believed her experiences were so different from most other students that she became withdrawn, thinking no one could possibly relate to her. But Juarez-Delgado found a place where she could feel at home on campus, the inclusive community of the Education Diversity Scholars program at CU Boulder. As a result, she has discovered a career path that is changing the trajectory of her life.

As a leader in sustainability practices and fan engagement in athletics, CU Boulder recently was recognized at the inaugural Green Sports Day at the White House. Including remarks by President Obama, the event honored organizations around the country that are taking on new actions to tackle climate change through sports.

CU Student Government and the Center for Student Involvement is hosting a watch party for the second presidential debate on Sunday, Oct. 9, 6:30 to 9 p.m. The event will take place in Glenn Miller Ballroom. The debate runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. There will be tons of tasty food and beverages so come join your fellow students in watching the debate.
