CU Boulder is canceling in-person classes tomorrow, March 13, 2020, due to efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Dining halls, residence halls, medical services and other campus services will remain open to serve the needs of students. Employees who can work remotely should do so with the authorization of their supervisors. Remote teaching is scheduled to begin as planned on March 16.

The university is taking these actions after consulting with Boulder County Public Health officials as part of local, state and federal efforts to mitigate the spread of the virus.

Because Boulder Valley School District and other school districts are discontinuing classes, we want to provide guidance to supervisors and employees who need to be home with their children. Supervisors should be flexible with employees who have school-aged children to allow them to be out of work tomorrow and as needed in the near future. For those who have been given direction to work from home, please do so if possible. For those whose work must occur on campus, you may receive paid administrative leave if approved by your supervisor. For anyone who is sick or is caring for a sick family member, your sick leave is available.

The campus will continue to evaluate leave options and update our information accordingly. Please refer to the FAQs at colorado.edu/coronavirus for the latest guidance.
