Dear Colorado State Employee,

Each and every day, Colorado state government employees pave the way for our state to be one of the very place best places to live, work and play.

For example, May 31, 2017, was a typical day on I-25 and Belleview until a fuel tanker caught fire, making one of the busiest stretches of highway in the state impassable. By 5 a.m. the next day the road was open to commuters, far ahead of the schedule many had anticipated. For CDOT workers, this may have seemed like just another day at the office, but for those they serve it was nothing short of a miracle.

In addition to serving their fellow Coloradans through their daily work, state employees are also among the strongest supporters of our state’s dynamic nonprofit community. Since 1988, they have given nearly $33 million to hundreds of groups representing important causes and every corner of the state. The Colorado Combined Campaign (CCC), our annual workplace giving program, has evolved into a charitable institution upon which many in our communities depend, and all of us, as state employees, can be proud.

I hope you’ll join me and your many colleagues in making a donation to the CCC this year. Your gift of whatever size is both very much needed and much appreciated. Thank you again for everything you do to make Colorado great!

Sincerely yours,

John W. Hickenlooper,
