CU PIIEThe CU Public Interest Internship Experience (PIIE) program is seeking applicants who are interested in making a positive impact in their communities this summer. CU PIIE provides paid internships ($4,320 stipends) to nonprofit and government agencies in the Denver and Boulder metro areas for full-time summer internships.

PIIE was established in 2006 to connect students interested in civic engagement with paid summer internships. The program was the first of its kind among public universities in the nation and has become increasingly competitive since its first summer.

Now in its 10th anniversary, PIIE has provided over 100 internships in fields ranging from animal welfare to education, health, law, sustainability and more. These enriching opportunities will broaden students' professional skills while making a real impact at organizations with positive missions.

The application deadline is Friday, Jan. 27, at 4 p.m. Interested students can find applications, internship descriptions, qualifications and more on the PIIE webpage. The list of 2017 host organizations can be found below.

Please reach out to PIIE Director Dylan Mark by email at Dylan.Mark@colorado.edu with any questions about the program.
