Originally from the “Rust Belt” of Ohio, Zachary began his theater studies in 2006 while attending Youngstown State University located in Youngstown, Ohio. At YSU, Zachary spent his time on and off stage in a variety of roles. In 2010, Zachary directed the YSU Theatre’s production of The Shape of Things. Zachary found a love for teaching while serving as a teaching assistant for the stage combat and acting courses. He also attended commedia dell’arte workshops and master classes led by Mr. Gayle McNeely and received dialect coaching from Mr. Paul Meier.  

After graduating in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater, Zachary moved to Orlando, Florida where he worked for the Walt Disney World Resort for a little more than five years. While at Disney, Zachary worked primarily for the Entertainment Department including two years as an Entertainment Manager. Zachary also spent time with the Learning and Development Team, training new Disney Cast Members.

Zachary is currently a teaching assistant for the Development of American Musical Theatre and the Assistant Director for CU’s production The Comedy of Errors. In Spring of 2019, Zachary will be directing Almost, Maine as part of CU’s 2018/2019 season. Zachary’s interests include Shakespeare in performance, improvisation, and baseball.
