Avery Ryder Turner is a performing artist, movement educator and student, and improvisor. His work explores the intersection of presence and death/transformation and uses poetry, myth, and song as a vehicle for asking the body questions it must resolve through movement and interaction. Ryder’s interests also include fermentation and gardening and how the process of change occurs in the dark-wet invisible places over time. He is a member of Tumblebones Contact Improvisation Collective in Boulder, CO. His son Atlas is a constant inspiration to continue dancing.
