My name is Kshitija Saturdekar. I was born and raised in Mumbai, India and I moved to Colorado in August 2017. After training in the Indian classical dance “Kathak” for 8 years I began to explore all the other dance styles. I’ve always had this hunger of studying different dance styles and different techniques involved in these styles, which motivates me to create and explore. I worked as a Dance Instructor/Choreographer for the Terence Lewis Academy and the Institute of Creative Excellence both located in Mumbai, India. I also performed several shows with the Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company located in Mumbai, India. During this time, I had the chance of working with many Bollywood choreographers and actors. I have also performed many Indian Classical, Folk and Bollywood shows at many Indian and international locations such as Australia, Singapore, Austria etc. I have a BA and an MA in Sociology from the University of Mumbai. I also have a Diploma in Fashion Design from the Rachna Sansad School of Fashion and Textile Design. I’m currently a MFA first year Dance candidate at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
