Kate Gomez Moore is an artist whose primary art language is dance. She is currently moving her way through an MFA in Dance at CU Boulder. As a maker and dancer, Kate sources from her lived experience as a Chicana artist to create dance that holds complexity, rasquachismo, and belonging. As a teacher, she fosters an environment of curiosity, connection, and delight, and is committed to liberatory pedagogies.

Some of Kate’s past projects include producing Color Field (2020) a dance film; performing in environmental dance works Requiem for a River and New American Gothic created by Claire Kendall Creative Projects; and while dancing for T2 Dance Company, choreographed Violet Tether in the Wind and performed in works by Erin Tunbridge, Stewart/Owen Dance, and Rebecca McCormac. Kate also taught dance and was the Dance Programs Director for arts non-profit, Arts HUB, in Lafayette, CO. She earned her BFA in Modern Dance and a minor in Arts Administration from TCU in Fort Worth, TX.

Kate loves conversation and thrifting, dabbles in painting, embroidery, and music making, and is learning to accept that bios will never fully capture one’s wholeness.
