Justin has been passionate about theatre his entire life. He began as a little kid by gathering his cousins and siblings together during the holidays to put on plays (and puppet shows) that he would write, produce and direct in order to entertain the adults. The first formal play he actually performed in was A Charlie Brown Christmas where he played Schroeder. He received his Bachelor’s degree in theatre from Oklahoma State University and was awarded the Most Outstanding Theatre Senior Award. Since then he has been involved in over 30 productions either as an actor, production manager or director. He is also very passionate about how theatre can change lives, unify and bring people together. He has performed with the Playback Theatre Troupe at a National Diversity and Inclusion Conference in Virginia and facilitated Forum Theatre at Bahá’í Seasonal Schools in Michigan, Illinois and Colorado . The first professional production Justin directed was the thriller Wait Until Dark in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Since then, he has directed many dramas, comedies and musicals including recent productions at StageDoor Theatre in Conifer, Colorado including Avenue Q, To Kill a Mockingbird, Barefoot in the Park, Deathtrap, Steel Magnolias and the sell-out fan-favorite The Full Monty. He also won a Westword award in 1998 for Best Environmental Theatrical Production for the show K2, which was held in a climbing gym. Justin recently became the new Executive Director of the Evergreen Children’s Chorale.
