Any currently enrolled CU student is eligible to audition for theatre productions at CU. In addition to the department’s full season of plays and musicals, students can also audition for directing scenes for undergraduate and graduate directing projects, CU Fringe Festival produced by the student group OnStage, performance projects for student organizations like Performers Without Borders, and film projects for student directors in the Film Studies Program.

Students are offered a variety of opportunities to perform under the direction of faculty members, visiting artists, and student choreographers.The annual dance performance schedule includes one faculty concert, a major student production, BFA and MFA performances as well as informal workshop showings and opportunities in the annual departmental CU Fringe Festival. Repertory classes and regular participation in the American College Dance Festival provide additional opportunities to learn and perform works by the faculty and guest artists. Dance majors will also perform as part of the CU Moving Company touring ensemble in their sophomore year.
