Inside The Greenhouse is an interdisciplinary collaborative effort that works to deepen our understanding of how issues associated with climate change can be communicated. Projects have been created through interactive theatre, film, fine art, performance art, television programming, and appraising, all working twards finding effective methods for multimodal climate communication.
Led by co-founders Rebecca Safran (Associate Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology), Beth Osnes (Associate Professor of Theater and Dance), and Max Boykoff (Associate Professor, Environmental Studies & Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences), Inside the Greenhouse brings together a collective of professors, students, scholars, and practitioners who are committed to creative framing and storytelling of issues surrounding climate change. Through video, theatre, dance, and writing, they aim to connect a wider audience to communicate the deep and pressing need to address climate change.
