Things at the Technology Transfer Office have changed!  Once a place where the terms “patent, license, or disclosure” were the only words heard in the hallways, now you’re just as likely to hear the words “strategic partnerships, customer discovery, or commercialization.” To further assist the best and the brightest minds in the labs of CU and to help them focus with precision on the commercial applications of their innovations, we will be hosting a Life Sciences Advisory Panel on August 17, 2018, featuring four of the most innovative technologies at the University.

A select group of business leaders will review the commercialization strategy of the teams, comment on their market approach, highlight both strengths and shortcomings of their research plan, and suggest additional resources to help get them to market.  Our esteemed panel includes Mark Lupa (High Country Ventures); Michael Weiner (Dorsey); Terry Dagnon, (Dohmen Life Sciences); Natasha Bond (Nordson Medical); and Leeland Eckstrom (Nashville Biosciences).

The innovators from the University of Colorado/Boulder who will be showcasing their innovations are Siddharth Shukla, Postdoctoral Fellow, Parker Research Group; Ding Xue, Professor, Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology; Chris Lowry, Associate Professor, Integrative Physiology; and Anushree Chatterjee, Assistant Professor, Chemical and Biological Engineering.

Although the panel is closed to the general public due to intellectual property issues, we welcome your interest in future panels – as an investigator who wishes to gain feedback on your innovation, or as a reviewer who can offer a business perspective and insights into what makes a successful commercial venture.
