Matt and Chris will cover an overview of the social media industry for context, an overview of social media on campus and then wrap up in a tool and data layer covering Social Studio, Facebook tools, and Google Data Studio.

Speaker
Chris Panetta joined CU-Boulder’s Office of Strategic relations in 2015. In his role as the Market Research Program Director, Chris conducts qualitative and quantitative research to formulate strategies and evaluate the university’s communication efforts. Panetta comes to CU-Boulder from Washington, DC where he served as the Vice President of Research at Widmeyer Communications, a Finn Partners Company. While at Widmeyer Communications, Panetta served a diverse higher education client base including Ivy League universities, small liberal arts colleges, large public universities and community colleges.

Matt Duncan is the Academic Digital Engagement Strategist for CU Boulder. Matt is also an adjunct instructor teaching social listening in the Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design department within the College of Media, Communication and Information. He’s held multiple strategic and tactical social media roles at CU Boulder for about nine years. Prior to social media, Matt worked in corporate data integration and analytics. Matt has an undergraduate degree from CU Boulder and a graduate degree from Denver University.
