Kieran O'Day will give an overview of blockchain technology including the history, how it works, and its unique properties. He will then dive into the use cases being explored today and the role that blockchain might play in our future society.

Kieran is currently a junior in the Engineering Plus program at CU Boulder and working as a Research Analyst for Crush Crypto. He discovered Bitcoin around 2013 but later became obsessed with blockchain after learning about Ethereum and other use cases for the technology. Kieran founded the only blockchain club at CU Boulder, CU Blockchain, in September 2017 and has been the club’s president since then.
