Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2022 Summer Session Online Teaching Academy.

The Online Teaching Academy focuses on increasing the skills and knowledge of faculty and instructors wanting to teach online and hybrid remote/online. Participants chosen for the Academy's Summer program work in cohort groups led by an online instructional designer. Upon completion of the program, participants receive $1,500 added to their salary.

The training program is held during the month of February and consists of weekly remote meetings over a four week period. The curriculum is based on national standards for online teaching found in the Quality Matters Rubric — and covers topics regarding online teaching (asynchronous) as well as remote/online hybrid teaching (synchronous and asynchronous).

Eligibility for the program includes faculty, instructors and lecturers. Graduate students may not apply.
