 Pathways in STEM

 

Pathways in STEM is our new, remote high school outreach program for Summer 2020! We will feature interviews, panels, talks, and news articles from LGBTQ+ identifying and allied STEM professionals, many of whom are from Colorado! We will also host self-paced workshops. All programs in Pathways in STEM are 100% free. 

We welcome high school students from across the country and beyond.

  • We are converting Creative Pathways to a Self-Paced workshop only. There will be no contest.  We have made this decision because the lack of engagement and because we do not have the bandwidth to properly address security issues. However, we are considering creating a Sci-Fi contest in the Fall so please stay tuned if you are interested! 
  • Creative Pathways, the science fiction workshop, will now begin on June 15th, 2020

  • Our workshop, Understanding the Cosmic Microwave Background, officially begins June 15th. However, make sure that you have a working version of Python 3.x installed before that date if you want to participate (click on the Workshop Tab for more info).

oSTEM @ the University of Colorado, Boulder is a student-led group on campus for LGBTQ+ students in STEM. Our mission is to provide networking, professional development, and social activities for undergraduate and graduate LGBTQ+ and allied students interested in the fields of engineering, science, technology and math (STEM). We are also developing outreach programs, such as Pathways in STEM, for LGBTQ+ youth. We are a chapter of oSTEM Inc, a national organization, and we are a part of the BOLD Center in the College of Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
