Third Thursday Conversations

The Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice Commitment Committee is excited to offer a new series of events for all Student Affairs staff, occurring on the third Thursday of each month this semester. The purpose of these conversation spaces is to help us build comfort in being uncomfortable. Staff will engage in interactive conversations on current events and community issues around topics of equity, inclusion and social change. The conversations will allow you to reflect on your own experiences, beliefs, privileges, biases and social identities.

Student Affairs Mentorship Program

The Student Affairs Mentorship Program provides career and professional development opportunities for staff, whether they serve as a mentor or a mentee. Both roles will help staff develop skills they need to progress in the next steps of their career. Learn more about Student Affairs mentorship.

SA Staff Connect Microsoft Teams Channel

The SA Staff Connect Teams channel is a place for all Student Affairs staff to build community and stay connected. This is a dedicated space to share articles, organize meet-ups, learn about events and opportunities, connect over shared interests and more. Learn more about SA Staff Connect.

VC Spotlight Award

The VC Spotlight Award is granted to employees within the Division of Student Affairs who go above and beyond their typical job duties to demonstrate their dedication to our mission, values, and commitments. Review VC Spotlight Award recipients.

Student Affairs Curriculum Program

The Employee Engagement Commitment Committee is working on a curriculum program for all Student Affairs staff. This will provide an opportunity to learn more about Student Affairs as a field and our division at CU Boulder. More details will be shared soon!

Student Affairs Colleague Groups

Colleague Groups are hosted by individuals in Student Affairs and based on a variety of topics and interests. All staff are welcome to participate in as many groups as they wish. If there isn’t a group that matches your interests, start your own! Staff are encouraged to organize their own groups and share details with the EECC to help promote. Kazoo

Recognition is a key aspect of staff engagement. The Kazoo online platform is just one more way for staff to celebrate each other and help us build a culture of recognition and engagement in the Division of Student Affairs. With Kazoo, you can celebrate colleagues by sharing recognition with points. You can also receive recognition and points from colleagues and redeem your points for rewards. Diversity and inclusion

The Center for Inclusion and Social Change offers a variety of workshops, with areas of focus including gender and sexual diversity, race and colorism and intersectionality.

The Diversity and Inclusion Summit also occurs in the fall and spring semesters, offering the opportunity to learn and build community.
