Student Affairs Staff Referral Bonus Program

How it works

There are several job codes eligible for the new referral bonus:

DS III
DS IV
Custodian I
Material Handler I
Material Handler II
Equipment Operator I

If you know someone who might be interested in applying for one of these positions, encourage them to apply. Applicants will need to include the referring employee’s name on the application when they apply (otherwise referral bonus will not be paid out). There will be a section on the application form for this.

All referral bonuses are available to current division staff (classified and university staff) and will be a one-time payment of $250, paid out to the referring employee.

Additional details

Anyone involved in the hiring process for the eligible job codes (including direct supervisors, hiring managers, appointing authorities and HR) will not be eligible for the referral bonus program.
Employees must be hired into a .50 FTE (50%) or greater position to be eligible for the referral bonus.
The division will pay these referral bonuses from a central pool for non-cost center departments. Cost centers will cover this expense from their operating budgets as they do with the onboarding assistance program.
