About the Big Mountain Program
Whether you're branching out from the terrain park, progressing from traditional disciples such as alpine or moguls, or it's your first season on snow, the Big Mountain program with CUFST aims to offer an incredible experience while exploring the mountains safely. This program involves mountain education, adventuring, and skiing in outstanding places with coaches and friends alike. With instruction from our coaches, athletes will gain experience and confidence in choosing big mountain lines, skiing with fluidity, charging new zones and cliff dropping.
There are also special opportunities to compete across the nation on the IFSA collegiate tour, in which our team placed 2nd overall last season. If athletes want to take an even bigger step out of their comfort zones there is the Subaru Freeride Series and other 2* and 4* FWQ events that some team member compete in. Crested Butte, Big Sky, Grand Targee, Taos, and Snowbird are just a handful of the venues where competitions are commonly held.
