María Fernanda Iwasaki received a B.F.A. in Theatre from the Royal School for Dramatic Arts in Madrid, Spain. She later completed her M.A. in Spanish and Latin American Literature at the University of Salamanca, Spain. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder.

Research Areas

20th and 21st Century Latin American and Spanish literature and theater. Poetics of the body and disability studies. Theatricality and performativity in prose fiction.
