Laurie James-Hawkins is currently a postdoctoral fellow in gender, family and global health in the Hubert Department of Global Health, Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. She studies women’s health, social norms, and family in both the United Stated, South Asia, and Northern Africa. Special interests include gender, reproductive health, contraceptive use, pregnancy, and mental health.
