Biography 

Kayla received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of North Florida with an interdisciplinary minor in Race, Ethnicity, and Inequality. Following her undergraduate studies, she worked as a research assistant for her previous faculty members, along with serving as Assistant Director at the Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnic Relations in Jacksonville, FL. Her research interests include quantitative methods, environmental sociology, and racial inequality.
