Karin is a pediatric, bilingual speech-language pathologist by trade. After graduating from RUSH University in Chicago with a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Karin worked in Chicago serving Spanish-speaking families of young children with speech and language learning impairments. After moving to Boulder, Karin worked in the Boulder Valley School District for one year before becoming a Clinical Faculty member in the Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Department at CU-Boulder. Currently, as Scholar in Residence, Karin is teaching undergraduate and graduate coursework as well as providing clinical supervision for speech-language pathology Masters students. Karin's clinical and research passion lies in finding more accurate, culturally and linguistic sensitive approaches to diagnosing language impairment in bilingual children.
