Alison Lemke is the Director of Speech-Language Pathology Education at the University of Colorado Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Science.  She coordinates clinical placements for graduate student speech-language pathologists in the CU Clinic and in the community, and also provides clinical education to graduate students in the area of adult acquired neurologic communication disorders. She has more than 30 years of experience working with people who have communication disorders due to stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other medical causes of speech-language disabilities.  Alison has a lengthy history of professional volunteer service, including being a past president of the Iowa Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a past member of the Iowa speech-language pathology and audiology licensure board, a past member of the Board of Directors/Vice President for Planning for the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and past president of the National Council of State Boards of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
