Teresa (Teri) Eastburn joined SILC in 2018 after serving in various education and technology management positions for over 16 years at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR). Prior to that time, she ran her own multimedia company, E-motion Productions, and served as an educator for both the Boulder Valley School District in Colorado and the Fallbrook School District in San Diego, California. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her M.A. from Pacific Oaks College, Pasadena. Her educational interests encompass adaptation, application, and change within educational systems, be they physical, technological or pedological, and their adoption, responsiveness and effectiveness to enhance student learning. She has worked on numerous NSF and NASA grants especially in terms of addressing and fulfilling broader impacts, and has served as a National Planet Steward Lead for NOAA’s Office of Ocean Services for over 10 years.
