Tara Ippolito is a PhD student in the Environmental Studies Program working with Jason Neff on building Land Capability Classification spatial data products for Feed the Future Zones of Influence in Niger.
Tara graduated from University of Redlands in 2019 with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics. Her past research work has included mathematically modeling air pollution and investigating the causal relationship between air pollution and hospitalization of Medicaid patients with cardiovascular disease. Her current research interests lie at the intersection of development, agriculture, and data science. She is passionate about improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers in the developing world.
