Tara Ippolita

The Sustainability Innovation Lab at Colorado (SILC) congratulates Tara Ippolito, a 2020 recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship award. The prestigious fellowship recognizes and supports individuals early in their graduate training in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics research.

Ippolito is an Environmental Studies doctoral student at CU Boulder whose graduate advisor is Jason Neff, SILC director and ENVS professor. She will apply the fellowship to studying livelihood outcomes of smallholder farming communities in the developing world using remote sensing data. Her work currently involves work on the Niger land use classification mapping project.

Our deepest congratulations to Tara on this well deserved honor!
