The 2019 cohort of undergraduate scholars in the Global Sustainability Scholars program will embark on their second summer of 8-weeks of paid sustainability-focused research within the food, energy, and water nexus this May. Scholars will work with Collaborative Research Actions (CRAs) sponsored by the Belmont Forum with funding from the National Science Foundation. Select CRAs include:
CityFood - Seattle, Washington and Berlin, Germany
Creating Interfaces - Karlsruhe, Germany
Fuse (Food-water-energy for Urban Sustainable Environments) - Leipzig, Germany
Congratulations also to Erin Jones who was selected recently as a GSS fellow. She will receive advanced professional development training and build professional connections that foster opportunities for employment and/or graduate school opportunities this summer. GSS provides unique opportunities and experiences for its fellows, while also offering a core curriculum and a GSS mentor.
