ELP Professional Development ProcessThe Earth Leadership Program (ELP), formerly known as the Leopold Leadership program, is seeking its first North American 2021 cohort of applicants from a broad cross section of mid-career environmental researchers in academia interested in gaining "knowledge to action" skills in collaboration with others chosen. The deadline to apply is May 29, 2020 for the summer 2021 and 2022 cohort.

ELP builds on 20 years of experience pioneered by the Leopold Leadership Program. During this time, the Leopold Leadership Program has developed and refined a thoughtful process for drawing out a new type of leader, one who uses a collaborative model to co-create solutions with others and that continues today with ELP.

Through a competitive process, the program selects up to 20 Fellows annually to participate in two intensive training sessions a year apart to build and enhance their skills for leading change from local to global scales. ELP's goal is to create a community of engaged scientific leaders who link their knowledge to decision-making about the environment and sustainability. The program seeks candidates in a broad range of disciplines, including the biophysical and social sciences and technical, medical, and engineering fields related to the environment and sustainability. The ELP application packet can be download here and you can apply via the University of Colorado, Boulder website.

The Earth Leadership Program is a a program of Future Earth in collaboration with the Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment and the University of Colorado, Boulder.
