NOTE: This is a hybrid class. The first 3 days of class will be virtual and the 4th, and final day, will be in-person at a location in Boulder (location TBD).
July 6-9 (Note: This is a 4-day week.); 10am-12pm (Online registration closes July 1. Call 303-492-7188 to register after this date.)
Join us in this hybrid class to learn how to collect, study, and analyze data in the natural world using various tools and technologies within your own backyard or neighborhood! Using a micro:bit, code and build a data logger that measures sunlight, soil moisture, temperature, and tracks the number of plant and animal species seen on site! There is even on opportunity to build an automatic plant watering assistant. This camp gives campers real-life experience building their own tools to gather and analyze data, offering a glimpse into the world of a field scientist. At the end of the week, we will meet at a location in Boulder to test out our micro:bit sensors and technology to collect and analyze samples. A perfect meld of technology and natural science exploration!
