2024 Summer Internship Application

The Real Estate Services (RES) Internship is designed for current University of Colorado Boulder undergraduates seeking a career in commercial real estate. Participation in the program is intended to provide a well-rounded knowledge of the university and commercial real estate business and develop valuable skills, earned by working alongside experienced professionals.

The internship accelerates your learning and development by providing you with a strong foundation upon which to build your commercial real estate career. As a program participant, you will partake in projects and activities designed especially for you.

Essential duties may include:

  • Assist in property management operations
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Contribute to drafting leases & license agreements
  • Learn about Asset Management
  • Assist with academic and commercial building site inspections
  • Prepare market studies 
  • Financial due diligence 

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must have a strong academic background, preferably in business or real estate
  • Sophomore, junior, or senior at University of Colorado Boulder 
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Completion of Criminal and/or Motor Vehicle Background Check

Required Competencies:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and modeling
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment and treat others with respect

Additional Information:

  • The program runs from May to August 2024
  • The work schedule and number of hours per week is negotiable 
  • This is a HYBRID position (both in-person and remote work)
  • $15 to $18 per hour (pay range determined by experience and education)
  • The intern will work with the Leasing & Development Associate towards the execution of the duties described above
  • RES will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the intern’s class schedule
  • The intern will not be entitled to a job at the completion of the internship
