Trailhead: Hanging Lake TH, 7 miles east of Glenwood Springs
Distance: 3.2 miles RT
Difficulty: Moderate (1105ft elevation gain)
Hike to two waterfalls and one scenic lake! Don’t forget to look back down the canyon for some breathtaking views. Hanging Lake is very popular, so get there early to snag a parking spot and hike an empty trail! No dogs allowed.
Note: Because Hanging Lake is a very delicate eco-system, swimming in the lake is strictly prohibited; please heed the sign reminding visitors to keep off the floating log.
