Soraya Latiff (she/her/hers) is the Assistant Director of Public Achievement and the Communications Manager of CU Engage, the Center for Community Based Research and Learning. She is a first-generation graduate with her B.A. in International Affairs and Global Environmental Affairs from CU Boulder in 2017. She is currently pursuing an MPA at CU Denver. This is her 6th year with CU Boulder PA. She was a coach and a teaching assistant as a student at CU. In the past, she has worked for PA as an Americorps National and Community Service Member serving as the Program Coordinator for CU Public Achievement.

She is from Trinidad and Tobago where she lived for 11 years, has taught in Costa Rica, and studied in Tanzania. She is passionate about learning from cultures beyond her own, about the inherent resilience of historically marginalized communities, and working towards justice and equity in all that she does. Soraya is a believer in storytelling, empathy, and that we all have the capacity for change-making. In her time outside of Public Achievement, Soraya creates handmade clay jewelry and runs a small business, writes, teaches yoga asana, dances, and always has a podcast or an audiobook going, and finds new ways to extend grace to herself and others.
